SSI Dive Courses – SSI Speciality Instructor

07-2Not only have they earned the qualifications to conduct main stream SSI dive programs such as the SSI Open Water Diver, SSI Advanced Adventurer and SSI Stress Rescue Diver, but they can also conduct SSI Specialty Diver programs. These SSI speciality programs help divers to hone their skills in specific area or facets of diving such as wreck, night, nitrox and deep diving.

Also if you’re already a SSI Dive Control Specialist or higher and want to qualify as a SSI Training Specialist (Specialty Instructor), you’ll need to attend a SSI Specialty Instructor Training Program conducted by a SSI Instructor Trainer (IT) or a SSI Instructor Certifier (IC) or apply directly to SSI (if you have enough credentials).

Specialty Instructor

SSI OWI + any 1 SSI Instructor Specialty. Teaching SSI specialty courses is a perfect way to continue to grow as an SSI Instructor and increase your revenue channels. SSI Specialty courses offer variety and are convenient to learn. SSI Instructors may qualify to teach SSI specialty courses by attending a seminar, or documenting significant experience (resume must be submitted to SSI) and purchasing the SSI course teaching materials.

COURSE CONTENT

SSI has a variety of standardized SSI specialty diver programs that you may conduct once you have earned SSI Specialty Instructors rating in that specific area. Each program is supported by outlines and a variety of other student learning materials. In addition to the standardized specialty programs, as a SSI Dive Control Specialist or higher you may write your own distinctive SSI specialty programs, which may be conducted once approved by SSI.

* For wreck diving specialty it required minimum of 2 divers/partners.

During the SSI Specialty Instructor Training Program you’ll receive valuable hands-on training, technique demonstrations, program marketing information, current SSI Standards information and, when applicable, instructor-level open water training. To enroll in the SSI Specialty Instructor Training Program, you must be a renewed SSI Open Water Instructor

This program will prepare you to become an active member of the scuba industry, a successful educator, and a valuable business employee.
