At some point nearly every diver wants to extend their knowledge beyond the limits of recreational diving and wants to experience more challenging diving. Extended Range has it all!
To qualify for Technical Extended Range Instructor Training Course you only need to be an Open Water, Deep and Nitrox Instructor and an Extended Range Diver. Now you can sign up for the course!
The procedures to qualify for Cavern and Advanced Wreck Diving Instructor are similar. If you are not an Extended Range diver and you want to get started, we also have combined diver and instructor programs, simply ask your Dive Center or Resort how to enroll. We also have an equivalency chart for crossover.
Extended Range Nitrox Instructor
- The SSI Extended Range Nitrox program contains decompression diving up to a depth of 40 meters using recreational diving equipment and one stage cylinder. This creates the opportunity of an easy and very useful first step in our Extended Range Program. It’s simple and easy to conquer new limits!
Extended Range Instructor
- Using the same course content as Extended Range Nitrox, you simply change the equipment configuration to Twin Cylinders, Redundant Air Delivery Systems, Back Plate, Wing, Harness and make additional dives. Upgrading from XR Nitrox towards Extended Range is possible at any time.
Advanced Wreck Diving Instructor
- Advanced Wreck Diving is a limited penetration within the daylight zone. To qualify for either of these Instructor Training Course you only need to be an Open Water Instructor including Deep-, Enriched Air Nitrox- and Wreck Diving Instructor and be certified in Advanced Wreck Diving.
Cavern Diving Instructor
- Cavern Diving is a limited penetration within the daylight zone. To qualify for either of these Instructor Training Course you only need to be an Open Water Instructor including Deep-, Enriched Air Nitrox- and be certified in Cavern Diving.
